Start your Valentine’s weekend with the Suwanee Sweetheart Sprint! Grab a friend or special someone and register as a team. There will be a costume contest, so wear your Valentine's best. There will be awards by age groups, so make it a family event!
This event is chip timed. Start time is 9:00 a.m.
This 5K is a Peachtree Qualifier!
Strollers and dogs are allowed at the back of the start.
We have added a Fun Run for ages eight and under. The Fun Run will start at 10:00 am (after most runners have finished the 5K) and will consist of two laps around the Suwanee Town Green. All participants will get a T-shirt and a medal. So, dress up those little ones and bring them out for some fun exercise and hot chocolate!
ARRIVAL
Early packet pickup will be Friday night, February 6, from 5-7 p.m. at Big Peach Running Co. in Suwanee Town Center.
On-site registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. on the day of the event. 5K will start at 9:00 a.m. Awards will be at 10:00 a.m. at the main stage in Suwanee Town Center.
AWARDS
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st-place Male and Female for both the Overall and the Masters Categories. Age groups for male and female: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75+. There will also be awards for Fastest Dog and Most Senior Finisher.
WHAT TO WEAR
Wear your best Valentine’s costume to participate in the costume contest.
COURSE
This 5K is a Peachtree Qualifier! This event is chip timed.
The event will take place at Suwanee Town Center, beginning and ending there. The course will start on Town Center Avenue in front of City Hall, then turn right on Boston Common and follow the road down to the greenway connector. From the greenway connector, the route will follow the Suwanee Creek Greenway to just past Annandale Lane, where runners will make a U-turn at the fire hydrant. The route will follow the greenway back to the greenway connector, then proceed up Portland, turn left onto Suwanee Avenue, and right onto Charleston, finishing near City Hall.
STROLLERS AND DOGS
This is a family-friendly event! Strollers and dogs are allowed at the back of the start.
FUN RUN
For children eight and under registered for the Fun Run, the event will start at 10:00 a.m. at the Suwanee Town Green. Packets can be picked up at the exact times as the 5K packets.
